Xpeng G7 EREV with 440hp and 325km pure electric range revealed
This is Xpeng’s G7 EREV SUV, powered by a 1.5L range-extender powertrain and boasts a pure electric range of 325 km. The new model’s exterior design is consistent with the currently available EV variant, continuing the “Robot Face” concept.

For reference, the Xpeng G7 EV variant has a price range of 195,800 to 225,800 yuan (27,500 to 31,700 USD). Notably, the car has a drag coefficient of 0.238 Cd and is equipped with three Turing AI chips, making it the first “AI car” to feature L3-level computing power, according to He Xiaopeng, CEO of Xpeng.

The EREV variant has body dimensions of 4918/1925/1655 mm (l/w/h), and a wheelbase of 2890 mm, positioned as a mid-size SUV. Compared with the EV variant (4892/1925/1655 mm, and a wheelbase of 2890 mm), the EREV is 26 mm longer. Two curb weights were declared: 2,245 kg and 2,255 kg.
The powertrain is equipped with a 1.5L engine (model DAM15NTE) as the range extender, which produces a maximum power of 110 kW (148 hp). The electric motor has a maximum power of 218 kW (292 hp), matched with a 55.8 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, providing a pure electric range of 325 km (assuming under CLTC conditions). The top speed is 202 km/h. At this time, the comprehensive range has not been revealed.
For reference, the EV variant is powered by a rear permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 218 kW and a peak torque of 450 Nm, matched with 5C 68.5 kWh and 80.8 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery packs, providing a corresponding CLTC range of 602 km and 702 km. Under fast charging, the battery can be recharged as fast as 436 km in 10 minutes.

The EREV variant also features side cameras on the front fenders, hidden door handles, three “X”-shaped rim designs, and blackened brake calipers, paired with 235/55 R19 and 255/45 R20 tires.
