BYD lauched its 2026 Seal 07 DM-i with God’s Eye B system just one month after its initial release
BYD launched the 2026 Seal 07 DM-i plug-in hybrid sedan on the evening of September 15, 2025. As an annual facelift, the new model introduces technological upgrades and design refinements across its four variants, with prices ranging from 149,800 yuan (20,800 USD) to 186,800 yuan (26,000 USD).
The 2026 Seal 07 DM-i’s most notable enhancements include an optimised front fascia, the integration of a roof-mounted lidar sensor, and the introduction of the “God’s Eye-B” (DiPilot 300) intelligent driving assistance system.
Maintaining BYD’s “Ocean Aesthetics” design philosophy, the 2026 Seal 07 DM-i features a closed-off front grille, flanked by sleek, narrow headlight clusters and a three-section air intake. A subtle change sees the removal of the LED light strips beneath the headlights. At the rear, the vehicle retains the Seal family’s integrated taillight design.

The new model measures 4995mm in length, 1900mm in width, and 1495mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2900mm. These figures represent a slight increase of 15mm in length and 5mm in width compared to the outgoing model.

Inside, the 2026 Seal 07 DM-i continues with BYD’s family-oriented interior design, characterised by a clean and minimalist centre console. It features a 10.25-inch embedded LCD instrument cluster and a prominent 15.6-inch floating central control screen. The cabin is further equipped with a four-spoke steering wheel, a column-mounted shifter, and a 50W wireless charging pad for mobile devices.

An upgrade is the integration of the “God’s Eye-B” (DiPilot 300) assisted driving system. This system, leveraging the newly added lidar, provides assisted driving functionalities, including capabilities for urban environments.

Under the hood, the 2026 Seal 07 DM-i retains BYD’s acclaimed DM5.0 plug-in hybrid technology, mirroring the powertrain options of its predecessor. Depending on the variant, the system combines either a 1.5L engine with a maximum power output of 74 kW or a more potent 1.5T engine delivering 115 kW. These engines are paired with electric drive motors offering maximum power outputs of 160 kW (215 hp) or 200 kW (268 hp). The vehicle offers CLTC pure electric driving ranges of 135 km and 230 km.
It is worth noting that the current Seal 07 DM-i was only launched last month.
