Dreame secures 2.1 billion USD in overseas orders at first partner conference, report says
Dreame Technology, a Chinese company best known for its home appliances and, more recently, for its announcement of entry into the automotive sector, has reported that it has received overseas orders worth more than 15 billion yuan (approximately $ 2.1 billion USD). The news was disclosed during the company’s first strategic partner conference, held this month, according to IT-home.
According to reports, representatives from 54 dealerships across 22 countries attended the event. Feedback was reportedly particularly strong from distributors in the Middle East and Central Asia, where Dreame aims to accelerate its international presence.
The company plans to promote what it describes as an “ecosystem plus” model for global expansion. This approach aims to extend quickly to multiple product lines, with a long-term target of building dealership partnerships in up to 200 countries and regions.
Dreame officially announced its automotive venture on August 28, 2025. The first product revealed was a high-end electric sports car positioned as a rival to established luxury performance brands. On September 10, Dreame shared images of the model, which drew comparisons to the Bugatti Chiron. Two weeks later, on September 24, the company introduced its second model online, a large luxury SUV described as a competitor to the Rolls-Royce Cullinan. Official images of the SUV were released the following day.

The SUV, scheduled to enter the market in 2027, features a wheelbase of 3.2 meters, rear-hinged coach doors, and an all-electric powertrain. Reports also indicate that it will adopt Cell-to-Pack (CTP 4.0) battery technology with a 100 kWh capacity, alongside an optional range extender. It is expected to carry four independent electric motors, rear-wheel steering, and an adaptive chassis that uses sensor input to adjust height and stiffness.
Dreame has also claimed that its vehicles incorporate several original technical solutions, including seven patents related to a pillarless rear-hinged door design. However, some industry observers have raised questions about the originality of these patents, noting similarities to earlier filings by other automakers.
Founded by Yu Hao, Dreame Technology entered the Xiaomi Ecological Chain in 2017 and established itself in the home appliances sector with products such as vacuum cleaners and hair dryers. Its expansion into automobiles marks a significant shift in scope, positioning the company among the growing number of Chinese firms seeking to compete in the premium electric vehicle market.
