The Electra L7 adopts a design language derived from Buick’s Electra-L concept car, featuring a closed-off front fascia with L-shaped headlights and an active grille in the lower bumper. Higher trims, such as the Avenir edition, offer exclusive styling elements including 19-inch alloy wheels, flowing-effect tail lights, and Avenir badging.
In terms of size, the Electra L7 measures 5,032 mm in length, 1,952 mm in width, and 1,500 mm in height, with a 3,000 mm wheelbase. The sedan uses frameless doors, hidden door handles, and traditional mirror-style exterior mirrors. Five exterior colour options are available, including black, grey, white, gold, and purple, with select colours offered as paid options.
Inside, the L7 features a floating dual-screen layout, comprising a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel and a 15.6-inch central display. A 50-inch AR-HUD is available on higher trims. Four interior colour schemes are offered, including a model-exclusive purple-and-white option for the Avenir version.
For intelligent driving, the Electra L7 is equipped with the “Xiaoyao Intelligent Drive” system, supported by the Momenta R6 model. Hardware includes lidar, millimetre-wave radars, and multiple high-definition cameras. The system enables functions such as urban and highway navigation assistance, automated parking, and remote parking features.
The Avenir trim further adds a 27-speaker Buick Sound Theatre audio system with integrated headrest speakers, premium Nappa leather seats featuring zero-gravity seating, and exclusive decorative elements.
Power is derived from a 1.5T engine serving as a range extender, paired with an electric motor that produces up to 252 kW. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, with a top speed of 200 km/h. Its 40.2 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery delivers a CLTC-rated pure electric range of 302 km, while the combined range reaches 1,420 km. The L7 also includes 6 kW V2L external discharge capability.
As Buick’s first entry under its new sub-brand, the Electra L7 marks the beginning of a broader product lineup. The brand plans to expand its offerings rapidly to cover multiple vehicle categories. Upcoming models include a new energy MPV and a new SUV.
