Chery Exeed Yaoguang C-DM Global Edition PHEV launched from 19,600 USD: 1,400 km range, updated powertrain
Chery officially launched its Exeed Yaoguang C-DM Global Edition on the Chinese market, available in three trims. The main changes are made in the powertrain boasting a comprehensive range of 1,400 km while the new car continues the exterior design of the previous model. Judging by its name, the Global Edition is expected to be exported to the overseas markets.
- 120 Long-Range 2WD: 139,900 yuan (19,600 USD)
- 210 Ultra-Long-Range 2WD: 169,900 yuan (23,800 USD)
- 200 Ultra-Long-Range 4WD: 189,900 yuan (26,600 USD)
In the front, the through-type LED light strip is intact, paired with vertically arranged light strips on both sides. At the same time, the dual-color exterior design is newly added.
The rear retains the through-type taillights with black trims added, combined with the original dual exhaust outlets on both sides.
The body dimensions also remain unchanged: 4781/1920/1671 mm (l/w/h), and the wheelbase is 2815 mm. The curb weight ranges from 1,913 kg to 2,171 kg.
The previous model’s powertrain adopts a 1.5T engine, two/three electric motors (depending on the trims), and mated to a 3-speed DHT. The comprehensive range is 1,400 km. These powertrain configurations continued to be present in the Global Edition while adding a front electric motor option mated to a DHT.
The 1.5TGDI engine outputs a maximum power of 115 kW (154 hp) and a peak torque of 220 Nm. The detailed powertrain specifications are below:
- 120 Long-Range 2WD: a front 150 kW (201 hp)/310 Nm e-motor, mated to a DHT, 19.53 kWh LFP battery self-developed by Chery, 120 km CLTC pure electric range
- 210 Ultra-Long-Range 2WD: dual front 165 kW (221 hp)/390 Nm e-motors, mated to a 3-speed DHT, 34.46 kWh CATL M3P LFP battery, 210 km CLTC pure electric range
- 200 Ultra-Long-Range 4WD: dual front 165 kW/390 Nm e-motors and a rear 175 kW (235 hp)/310 Nm e-motor, mated to a 3-speed DHT, 34.46 kWh CATL M3P LFP battery, 200 km CLTC pure electric range
The cockpit continues to feature a 24.6-inch dual-screen design consisting of a full LCD instrument panel and a central control screen, powered by the Chery Lion 5.0 operating system and sits on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip.
The signature control knobs under the screen are not absent. Other configurations include eight Sony speakers, 50W wireless charging panels, 256-color ambient lights, and a foldable rear center console.
