SAIC’s IM LS9 EREV will start pre-sale on November 4: 402 km electric range, 520-line lidar, Lizard Digital Chassis 3.0
On October 27, IM Motors announced that the pre-sale of its IM LS9 six-seater range-extender SUV will start on November 4th in China. The new car features the Lizard Digital Chassis 3.0, 520-line lidar across the entire series, and the brand’s “Stellar” EREV powertrain system with a 402 km CLTC pure electric range. The official launch is expected to happen later this year.
In terms of appearance, the IM LS9 boasts a squared design, featuring L-shaped headlights with a continuous light strip and a lower grille centered on the closed fascia, hidden door handles, and armour-like rim styles with tire specifications of 20-, 21-, and 22-inch as well as optional Brembo brake calipers.

Equipped with the Lizard Digital Chassis 3.0 system, the IM LS9 supports two-way 24° four-wheel steering. At the same time, the IM LS9 also features a 150 mm dual-chamber air suspension system with a closed stroke.

Dimensionally, the IM LS9 measures 5279/2000/1806 mm (l/w/h), with a 3160 mm wheelbase. Its curb weight is 2,695 kg.

Power comes from IM Motors’ “Stellar” EREV system consisting of a Zephyr 1.5T engine (model 15FNE) as the range extender and dual electric motors, paired with 65.9 kWh 800V Freevoy Super Hybrid Battery from CATL. The engine has a maximum power of 114 kW (153 hp) and ultilizes a VTG variable cross-section turbocharger. The dual electric motors generate 160 kW (215 hp) and 230 kW (308 hp) each.
All together, the system has a comprehensive fuel consumption of 2.81L/100km, a top speed of 220 km/h, and a comprehensive range of 1,500 km.
Under fast charging, it takes 15 minutes to recharge the battery to 310 km of range.
At this time, the interior layout and detailed specifications have not been revealed. What we know so far is that the sound system is supported by Bang & Olufsen speakers and the seats support 4D mechanical massage function.
