Exeed, Chery’s premium sub-brand, announced that its new Exlantix ET5 SUV will go on sale in China on November 13, according to Y-Auto. The model is expected to make its public debut at the 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show later this month. It will be the world’s first production vehicle equipped with Horizon Robotics’ HSD and Journey 6P intelligent driving platform.

The ET5 adopts Exeed’s latest design language and was jointly styled by designers from Europe’s sports car studios and the Exeed design team.

Exeed Exlantix ET5 adopts new design language and shell-inspired headlights.

The SUV measures 4,780 mm in length and 2,800 mm in wheelbase, placing it in the mid-size category. The front end uses a closed fascia with shell-inspired headlights and triple light bars, while the taillights feature a continuous “star-wing” design composed of hundreds of LEDs.

Inside, the cabin follows an “elegant and fluid” design theme that merges traditional Eastern aesthetics with modern digital technology. The dashboard features a three-screen layout, comprising a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch centre display, and a 12.3-inch passenger entertainment screen. The infotainment system is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8255 chip, supporting fast startup and smooth multitasking.

The ET5’s triple-screen cockpit integrates Snapdragon 8255 and AI voice functions.

The ET5 integrates AI systems developed in collaboration with iFlytek and DeepSeek, enabling an end-to-end voice interaction platform that recognises tone and intent for contextual responses. Audio is delivered through a 21-speaker “Boyah Sound” system supporting 7.1.4-channel surround playback. Additional equipment includes a panoramic sunroof, multi-function steering wheel, ambient lighting, and ventilated, heated, and massaging front seats.

Power comes from a 1.5T range-extender engine rated at 115 kW, paired with a rear electric motor producing 195 kW and 324 N·m of torque. A 32.66 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery provides a pure-electric range of up to 205 km, while the total range exceeds 1,300 km.

The Exeed Exlantix ET5 will compete with models such as the BYD Song L DM-i, Sealion 06 DM-i, and Leapmotor C11 in China’s mid-size EREV SUV segment. Pricing is expected to be announced at the start of pre-sales on November 13.
