Xpeng has officially revealed the X9 Ultra, a new all-electric variant of its popular X9 MPV, through recent filings with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). This version is equipped with three Xpeng’s in-house Turing AI chips, boasting a total computing power of 2250 TOPS.

Two of these advanced chips will power the vehicle’s VLA large model for advanced driver-assistance systems, while the third will be dedicated to enhancing the intelligent cockpit’s VLM large model. The X9 Ultra will be available in both two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive configurations, utilizing ternary lithium batteries.

Visually, the front fog lamp area and lower bumper have been updated to mirror the aesthetic of the X9 extended-range version, a change also reflected in the rear bumper. The vehicle measures 5316mm in length, 1988mm in width, and 1785mm in height, with a generous wheelbase of 3160mm. Customers will have a choice between two wheel options: 19-inch low-drag wheels or 20-inch multi-spoke wheels.

Under the hood, the single-motor version of the X9 Ultra will feature a 235 kW (315 hp) electric motor. The four-wheel-drive variant will be equipped with a dual-motor setup, delivering 235 kW (315 hp) from the front motor and 135 kW (181 hp) from the rear motor. Both configurations will be powered by ternary lithium batteries supplied by CALB.

Xpeng Motors’ recent stock performance has been remarkable. As of the time of writing (11:00 AM, Nov 11th), Xpeng Motors-W (09868.HK) saw its share price rise by 15%. This positive market reaction is closely linked to institutions’ optimistic expectations for Xpeng’s third-quarter revenue.

According to Chinese media outlet Cailian Press, institutions anticipate that Xpeng Motors is expected to achieve revenue of 20.428 billion yuan (2.8 billion USD) in the third quarter, a figure that indicates the company has made significant progress in both sales and revenue.
