The 8X is expected to be built on Zeekr’s SEA-S hybrid platform, which includes a complete 900-volt high-voltage system. Its powertrain reportedly combines a 2.0-litre turbocharged plug-in hybrid engine with dual electric motors for all-wheel drive. Together, output reaches 400 kW (544 horsepower) with peak torque around 700 Nm, offering 0–100 km/h acceleration in 4.9 seconds.
Battery options is speculated to include a 70 kWh 6C fast-charging ternary-lithium pack (with a smaller 55 kWh variant expected). According to CLTC testing, the pure electric range is said to exceed 400 km. With full fuel and electricity, the total driving range is forecast to go beyond 1,200 km. The hybrid version’s fuel consumption is estimated at around 5.1 L/100 km (for the six-seat version). Fast charging via an 800–900 V architecture enables charging from 10% to 80% in approximately 15 minutes; a 5-minute charge is claimed to add some 200 km of range, and the system supports V2L external power supply.
Inside, the Zeekr 8x appears to be luxury-oriented. The six-seat layout (2+2+2) reportedly features premium full-grain Nappa leather seating with extensive adjustability, heating, ventilation, and massage functions for the front seats. The second row offers independent “aviation” seats with adjustable legrests, reclining up to 121°, footrests, and independent climate controls. According to sources, third-row knee room is 652 mm, claimed to exceed that of a comparable known rival. Cargo volume reportedly expands to about 1,980 litres with all rear seats folded.
On the technology front, 8x is expected to feature a high-tech cockpit: a floating 14.6-inch central touchscreen (with gesture and side-swipe capability for the front passenger) and an 8.8-inch full-digital instrument panel. Its smart-drive system reportedly uses dual high-performance chips (for infotainment and autonomous driving), combined with a LiDAR sensor, multiple cameras, radar and ultrasonic sensors, enabling features such as highway NOA, city NOA without map data, obstacle avoidance (G-AES), and a complete auto-parking system.
Published reports suggest Zeekr 8x will compete directly with models such as the Li Auto L8 and Aito M8. Its projected pricing range is 300,000 to 450,000 RMB (about 41,600 to 62,400 USD), with the primary focus on the ~350,000 yuan (~48,400 USD) trim.
