Fulwin T9L: Chery’s new large SUV brings Horizon 6P ADAS and 5-second acceleration
Chery confirmed that its new large five-seat SUV, the Fulwin T9L, will enter the Chinese market between March and April 2026, as reported by IT-home. The vehicle was unveiled at the 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show, where company executives described it as a “smart and beautiful large five-seat SUV.” The model is positioned under Chery’s Fulwin sub-brand, which has been expanding its presence in the hybrid and electric segments throughout 2025.
The T9L adopts Chery’s “Eastern calligraphy” design language, with dimensions of 4,870 millimetres in length, 1,930 millimetres in width and a wheelbase of 2,920 millimetres. It is built on the Kunpeng plug-in hybrid CDM architecture and integrates the Falcon 700+ intelligent driving system supported by Horizon Robotics’ Journey 6P chip. The system uses Horizon’s HSD solution and is designed to handle complex traffic scenarios such as sudden pedestrian intrusions or construction zones, while employing defensive-driving strategies that can slow the vehicle when potential risks are detected.
Inside, the Fulwin T9L features Chery’s Lingxi Smart Cockpit 2.0, equipped with a 3-nanometer cabin processor. The interior includes wireless smartphone charging, a 17.3-inch 2.5K iMax rear display, zero-gravity front seats and a built-in refrigerator capable of cooling to –6 °C or heating to 50 °C. The hybrid system delivers a combined output of 260 kW and 330 N·m, and the all-wheel-drive version is estimated to achieve 0–100 km/h acceleration in the 5-second range. Chery reports a thermal efficiency of 45.79 per cent for the hybrid engine.
The introduction of the Fulwin T9L comes as the Fulwin brand accelerates its rollout of hybrid and electric models. The series already includes the Fulwin E06 SUV and Fulwin A9L sedan, the latter receiving more than 50,000 orders within the first 24 hours of its global debut. Additional Fulwin products, such as the upcoming T11 extended-range SUV, aim to broaden the brand’s coverage across multiple price bands and body segments.
The launch also arrives during a period of strong performance for Chery Group. From January to October 2025, Chery sold 2.01 million vehicles globally, a 14.5% year-on-year increase. New energy vehicles accounted for 587,545 units, a 77.1 per cent increase compared with the same period last year. In October alone, the group recorded 281,161 sales, including 110,346 NEVs, marking its highest monthly NEV result to date. Chery also exported 1.06 million vehicles during the first ten months of 2025, continuing its position as China’s largest passenger-vehicle exporter.
