Wey V9X: GWM’s 5.3-meter PHEV SUV with 800V revealed in regulatory filings
Declaration images of the Wey V9X have surfaced from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), unveiling the brand’s latest flagship model. As a luxury six-seater SUV, the V9X marks the debut model on the GMW One platform, featuring a PHEV powertrain built on an 800V architecture and promising a pure electric range exceeding 400km.
The Wey V9X’s exterior design is highlighted by a through-type ring light strip that supports a flowing welcome effect and an illuminated brand logo. Its front fascia incorporates slender headlights integrated with the daytime running lights. The lower bumper on both sides is designed to house smart driving blue lights and turn signals, while a LiDAR unit is mounted on the roof. At the rear, a through-type taillight design features oval elements on the sides and integrates another smart driving blue light in the center.
Measuring an imposing 5299 mm in length, 2025 mm in width, and 1825 mm in height, the V9X boasts a wheelbase of 3150 mm. These dimensions underscore its flagship status.

Under the hood, the Wey V9X is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system combining a 2.0T engine with an electric motor. The engine delivers a maximum power output of 175 kW, propelling the SUV to a top speed of 210 km/h. The 0-100 km/h acceleration time is 4.4 seconds when fully charged, and 4.7 seconds in low-battery mode.

The vehicle is expected to leverage an 800V hybrid architecture and a hybrid 6C battery, enabling a pure electric driving range exceeding 400km. Notably, the MIIT declaration filings list specific pure electric ranges of 240km and 363km. Furthermore, the advanced charging capability allows for an additional 200km of range with a 5-minute charge.
The declaration images also suggest the inclusion of air suspension. We will continue to monitor and report on further details regarding this model.
