Earlier, CarNewsChina reported that the fully electric Denza D9 was revealed with an updated powertrain, including a front 340 kW motor and a rear 70 kW motor for the all-wheel-drive model, with a CLTC range of up to 800 km. The single-motor front-drive variant delivers 340 kW and 750 km of CLTC range.
Exterior
The 2026 Denza D9 features a redesigned front grille with added chrome trim, creating a more layered and three-dimensional appearance. The vehicle maintains its dual-tone bodywork and long, streamlined proportions from the A-pillar to the D-pillar. At the rear, the D9 uses arrow-shaped LED taillights spanning the width of the vehicle, incorporating a multi-layer light source structure for a pronounced visual effect. Dimensions measure 5250 mm in length, 1960 mm in width, and 1900 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3110 mm.
Interior
The cabin adopts a T-shaped dashboard layout. Second-row occupants have access to aviation-style seats with foldable table boards, supplemented by two seatback-mounted displays. A roof-mounted second-row screen and armrest-integrated control displays support entertainment and convenience. The three-row seating layout accommodates both family and business scenarios. CarNewsChina previously revealed these interior updates ahead of the pre-sale announcement.
Driver Assistance
All variants come with Denza’s God’s Eye 5.0 intelligent driving assistance system. Denza also confirmed that older D9 models will receive a full over-the-air upgrade to the 5.0 system, per CarNewsChina.
Powertrain
The PHEV variants combine a 1.5T engine producing 115 kW with a dual-motor electric system: 200 kW at the front and 45 kW at the rear. They use the second-generation Blade battery (short) to achieve a CLTC pure electric range exceeding 400 km and a fuel consumption of 6.35 L/100 km on a depleted battery. BEV variants offer a single 340 kW front-motor version and a dual-motor 4WD setup with 340 kW front and 70 kW rear motors, delivering CLTC ranges of 750 km and 800 km, respectively.
Charging
Second-generation Blade batteries (short) enable 10–70% charging in 5 minutes and 10–97% in 9 minutes. In extreme cold, 20–97% charging takes 12 minutes at –20°C and is similarly 12 minutes at –30°C. Conventional AC charging is reported to be 30–50% faster than standard systems.
The pre-sale launch follows CarNewsChina reporting that the 2026 Denza D9 is priced between 389,800 and 489,800 yuan (51,500–64,700 USD) and that the company offers extended flash charging benefits. The OTA upgrade for earlier D9 models provides continuity in driver assistance capabilities across the lineup.
