Geely Galaxy M7 opens pre-sales April 9 with 3.35 L/100 km fuel use and 47.26% thermal efficiency
Geely Galaxy announced that its new M7 plug-in hybrid SUV will open pre-sales on April 9, ahead of a market launch later in April, with a CLTC-rated pure-electric range of 225 km and a combined range of 1,730 km according to IT-home.
The Galaxy M7 is positioned as a compact SUV in Geely’s new-energy Galaxy lineup. It measures 4,770 mm in length and 2,785 mm in wheelbase, placing it in the mainstream family SUV segment in China.
The model adopts Geely’s latest design language, featuring a full-width front light bar spanning over two meters and incorporating 362 LEDs. Aerodynamic optimisation across more than 20 body details contributes to a drag coefficient of 0.27.
Powertrain and efficiency
The M7 uses a 1.5L Thor EM plug-in hybrid system with a maximum engine output of 82 kW and a thermal efficiency of 47.26%.
Two lithium iron phosphate battery options are offered, at 18.4 kWh and 29.8 kWh. The larger pack enables a CLTC pure-electric range of up to 225 km, while the total driving range reaches 1,730 km under combined conditions.
Fuel consumption in charge-depleted mode is rated at 3.35 L/100 km, targeting reduced operating costs in mixed driving scenarios.

Interior and technology
The interior is equipped with the Flyme Auto 2 smart cockpit system and a 23-speaker Flyme Sound audio setup. Cabin materials include suede-like surfaces and wood trim elements.
Other features include a 1.2-square-meter panoramic sunroof, 256-colour ambient lighting, and 50 W wireless phone charging with cooling. Seats support ventilation, heating, and massage functions.
The vehicle also integrates the G-ASD H3 intelligent driving system, supporting highway and elevated road navigation assist (NOA) and over 300 parking scenarios.
Earlier disclosures
Previous filings and reports indicated that the Galaxy M7 would prioritise long-range efficiency, with early disclosures confirming an electric range of 225 km and a combined range of 1,730 km. The model is part of Geely’s broader push to expand its Galaxy lineup in the competitive PHEV SUV segment.
Market context
The Galaxy M7 enters a segment where Chinese automakers are emphasising extended-range PHEV systems to balance electric driving capability with long-distance usability.
With over 200 km of electric range, the model aligns with a growing trend among domestic brands to position PHEVs closer to EV-like daily usability while retaining long total range for intercity travel.
