Kia K3 will be launched in China in October

The new Kia K3 sedan will be launched on the Chinese car market in October, the K3 debuted late last month on the Chengdu Auto Show. The Kia K3 will be made in China by the Dongfeng-Yueda-Kia joint venture.

Power comes from a 143hp 1.8 liter engine mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic, a 1.6 will be added to the line-up later. Price for the 1.8 will start around 125.000 yuan. The Kia K3 replaces the old Kia Forte which was made in China as well. The Kia K3 shares most of its components with the new Hyundai Elantra Landong that is made in China by the Beijing-Hyundai joint venture.
