Spy Shots: stretched Skoda Yeti is ready for the China car market

Spy shots showing that the stretched Skoda Yeti is ready for the China car market. The stretched Skoda Yeti will be launched just before the end of this year, it will be made in China by the Shanghai-Volkswagen joint venture and its wheelbase is stretched by six centimeter for more space in the back. The China-made Yeti furthermore comes with different headlights, different bumpers and a different grille. Compare with Euro-version:

The grille of the China-made version looks very much like the grille of the China-made Skoda Rapid.

The Euro-made Skoda Yeti is currently imported into China, price ranges from 293.000 yuan to 332.800 yuan. Price for the locally made stretched Yeti will start just under 200.000 yuan. Engines: 1.4 TSI or a 1.8 TSI, mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed DSG. Wheelbase is 2638mm, compared with 2578 for the Euro-made Yeti.
