Mercedes-Benz GLC Is Going Long-wheelbase In China

This is the very first picture of the new Mercedes-Benz GLC L, the long wheelbase variant of the GLC SUV. Wheelbase will be extended by 10 centimeters, all the extra space goes to the passengers in the back.

The Mercedes-Benz GLC L will launch on the Chinese car market in early 2019. Main competitor will be the soon-to-be launched Audi Q5L, a long-wheelbase variant of the Q5 SUV.

The Mercedes-Benz GLC is made in China by the Beijing-Benz joint venture. Currently, they make the standard-wheelbase version; the long-wheelbase version will be an additional model.

Price starts at 394.800 yuan and ends at 576.000 yuan. Engines: 2.0 turbo with either 184 hp, 211 hp, or 245 hp. The L will get the same engine, and prices will be about 10.000 yuan higher across the range.
