The first pictures we saw last week did non yet unveil the name of BYD’s new baby. Now we know for sure, it is called S6. And it has a diffuser.

Engine is the ancient 2.4 litre Mitsubishi 4-cilindre petrol that so many Chinese suv-makers use. In the ‘S6′ it has 118kw@5800rpm and 215nm@3500-4500rpm. A more modern BYD-developed 2.0 will be available as well, 103kw@6000rpm and 186nm@4000-4500rpmn.

The BYD S6 will debut at the Beijing Auto Show at the end of this month. Saying ‘RX’ will spoil the party, so please don’t.
