The One debuts a new design language for MG’s SUV range, with a more aggressive and sporty styling. The blue car on the first photo is a top-spec model, with duel tone painting, an all-black grille, and racy wheels with red brake calipers.
Great Wall launches new cars faster than light, under their various brand names, now including Great Wall, Haval, WEY, Tank, and ORA. The latest new car is this Haval Shenshou, a sporty SUV-coupe with a surprisingly daring design. Haval usually does it more boring. The name is interesting too; Shenshou means ‘mythical beast’.
This is the new Trumpchi GS8, a massive 7-seat SUV with an equally massive grille. It comes in two kinds: a hybrid (the green car) and a petrol version, which has a different, and slightly smaller, grille.
When Great Wall launched the WEY Tank, and subsequently the separate Tank brand, it was all about roughness and off-roading . The brand was marketed as the wild brother of WEY, which is more about sporty design. Tank then unveiled a bunch of concept cars, each wilder than the other. All very manly. NIO was planning a surprise for the upcoming NIO day, scheduled for July 23. But a set of leaked patent images has spoiled the party. The surprise is a roadster version of NIO’s aging EP9 electric hypercar. NIO may also unveil the new EF9 electric MPV on NIO Day, but that is yet unconfirmed.
The Hongqi H9+ is a new stretched limousine based on the Hongqi H9 sedan. It comes in various duel-tone color schemes and with a very luxurious and arty farty interior. The H9+ will hit the Chinese car market soon, and Hongqi has also developed a variant for the government.

The BYD Dolphin is a new compact electric car with a lot of style and the first BYD to carry the brand’s new logo. BYD has released a flock of pictures of the Dolphin’s interior, and it looks just and fancy as the outside. The 3-spoke steering wheel has a cool and sporty shape, with an almost-arty center. The free-standing digital instrument panel is relatively compact.
This is the first real-world photo of the upcoming NIO ET7 electric sedan, seen in pre-production form on the premises of a NIO factory. We have seen the ET7 before, but only under perfect lighting on auto shows or media events. The appearance is a sure sign development of the ET7 is now relatively close to completion. The NIO ET7 is expected to hit the Chinese car market in Q1 2022.
