The Volkswagen Passat (called Magotan in China) Wagon was spotted near a Volkswagen facility in China. The Magotan sedan is a succesful imported model so Volkswagen wants more. The market for wagons ain’t big in China. Volvo, Audi, Benz and BMW don’t even bother to import any. Guess Volkswagen thinks it is time to try. The competition will no doubt closely follow developments and when sales are any good more wagons can be expected soon.
