New Chevrolet Sail listed & priced in China

Published on July 5, 2011 by Tycho de Feijter

Well, if this doesn’t make my day. The new Chevrolet Sail is here. New grille, new bumpers, updated interior and… parking sensors at the back! Fi-nal-ly. Price starts at 72.300 yuan and ends at 79.300 and that ain’t cheap for such a small car. Engines: 1.2 with 87hp or a 1.4 with 103hp. No thunder indeed.

This is the second pic GM sent to the Chinese automotive press. They are really proud of them parking sensors! Pic shows they work until a meter or see behind the Sails’ ass. Should be enough for drivers who actually have a license and are not a woman. Last Sail didn’t sell, and parking sensor or not, I don’t think this one will do better. Loox to oldie, costs too much.

A big jump up in price, but reported to be “best selling” compact last November with 16,000 units sold.
Refreshed by SGM’s Pan Asia Tech Auto Center and said to be geared with a 5spd manual or 4spd automatic.

But what happened to the EV version?
