New Buick compact SUV for China (?)

Chinese automotive website 163.com got a source in the Shanghai-GM joint venture. The source said Buick is working on a new compact SUV for the Chinese market. It will be based on the Theta platform that also underpins the Saturn Vue, Opel Antera and Chevrolet Captiva.

Design of the new SUV will be based on the Buick Envision concept car that debuted on the Shanghau Auto Show in April. Renderingsare made by 163.com. According to the source the compact SUV will debut next year. Main competition: Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, Volkswagen Tiguan and Hyundai iX35.
