The FAW X concept debuted at the Shanghai Auto Show in April. FAW will bring it to the market under the Besturn brand. The X will be based on the Mazda 6 platform and not on a Volkswagen platform which we heard about earlier. The Mazda 6 is made in China by the FAW-Mazda joint venture. Engines will also come from Mazda. The development seems to go quickly, the Besturn X will likely debut in early 2013.
