The Geely GLEagle will be officially listed in China later this month. One dealer however forgot to keep things secret and parked one brand new GLEagle (aka Global Eagle, aka Global Hawk) GX7 right in front of his shop. The GX7 debuted at the 2010 Beijing Auto Show and is aimed straight at the very competitive Chinese entry-level SUV market. Current best seller is the Chery Tiggo and it has been at the top spot for a while. The GX7 has to change all  that.

engines: 1.8 and 2.0, mated to a 6-speed automatic or a brandnew 7-speed dual clutch transmission. There will be a 2.0 diesel for export. Price in China will start around 90.000 yuan. The GLEagle GX7 will have a sister at Geely’s Emgrand-brand, basically the same car with another name; the EX7.
