Kaili is a sub-brand from the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture. Kaili will focus on cheap electric cars and cheap cars. The E88, likely a codename, is the first one. It is a full electric vehicle based on the FAW-VW new Bora. Production will start in late 2013 in the joint venture’s new plant in Foshan.

Kaili’s logo. Blue, like clean. Range is 135 km, top speed is 135 km/h. Weight is 1500 kg, 165 kg more than the patrol powered New Bora. Fast charging takes 10 minutes for 80%. How long a normal 220V charge takes it yet unknown, but important, since there are no fast chargers anywhere in China, except for a few small pilot projects here and there.
