The new Chery Cowin 5 will be listed on the Chinese auto market on March 24. The Cowin 5 debuted at the Shanghai Auto Show in April last year and is now ready to roll. Price will start around 80.000 yuan and end around 110.000 yuan.

It ain’t a looker but it is a very big car for the money and that is why it will appeal to many Chinese car buyers. The Chery Cowin 5 is based on the Chery Eastar/Oriental Sun. Cowin is Chery’s sub-brand name for its cheapest cars. The Cowin 5 gets a 1.8 liter engine mated to a 5-speed manual, 5-speed automatic or a CVT. Size: 4770/1815/1445, wheelbase is 2700.
