The FAW-Volkswagen joint venture will develop a new SUV for the Chinese car market, it will be based on the PQ35-platform that underpins the Tiguan and will be launched in two years.

Earlier this month we heard Skoda was developing a new SUV for the Chinese market as well at the Shanghai-Volkswagen joint venture. Platform and car will likely be exactly the same, just with a different badge and made by a different factory. Volkswagen indeed has to give each of its partners the same attention…
