New spy shots from the Buick Encore testing in China. Local production will start within 3 months at the Shanghai-GM joint venture. The Encore debuted in January at the Detroit Auto Show, its China-debut will be at the Beijing Auto Show next month.

Engine for the Chinese car market: 1.4 turbo with 102kw and 201nm, mated to a six-speed automatic. GM is considering offering a naturally aspirated 1.6 as well, which well be considerably cheaper than the 1.4 turbo. Price, with the 1.4, is expected to range from 150.000 to 200.000 yuan, with the 1.6 price could start as low as 130.000 yuan.
