Foday has applied for patent on a new SUV, it will be bigger than Foday’s current top model, the Explorer 6. Huge chrome grill is typical Foday but the rest of the car is quite good, likely because it loox a bit like the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Still, nice work from the small SUV-maker from Guangdong, which was in the news earlier this week when we heard it will sell its platforms to King Long. That will earn Foday money that they can use to develop an even bigger grill.

When the new Foday SUV will hit the Chinese car market is unclear at the moment, but Chinese media say it will be priced between 100.000 and 120.000 yuan. The Explorer 6 costs 90.000 yuan. Engines for the new SUV, expected: 2.0 patrol sourced from Mitsubishi, 2.2 patrol sourced from Toyota, and a 2.8 liter diesel that was once developed by Isuzu. Great mix…
