Spy Shots: facelift for the Chery E5, new pics
New spy shots from the facelifted Chery E5, earlier on we only saw the back, now we got the front and the interior as well. The facelifted E5 will hit the China car market later this year, powered by a new 1.6 DVVT engine with 126hp and 160nm. Facelift isn’t too big, some changes at the grill, new headlights, new mirrors and new lights at the back.
Current Chery E5. Price starts at 59.800 yuan and ends at 81.800 yuan. Powered by a 1.6 with 109hp and 140nm, this engine will be killed and replaced with the new 1.6 DVVT. The E5 is a very basic small-sized sedan that appeals to many first-car buyers looking for decent set of wheels. Nothing fancy, nothing cool, but it will start every day, doesn’t use too much patrol and maintenance is cheap.
Some changes at the bumper here.
Interior basically unchanged.
