2009 Hongqi SUV concept.

Hongqi (Red Flag) is working on a high-end SUV for the Chinese car market. The SUV will likely be based on the Toyota Land Cruiser that is made by the FAW-Toyota joint venture. The China-made Land Cruiser is available with 4.0 and 4.8 V8 engines. The SUV will be the second new car in Hongqi’s line-up after the Hongqi H7 that debuted at the Beijing Auto Show in April and which is based on the FAW-Toyota Crown. Chinese media report the SUV will be launched next year. First spy shots likely coming soon… Via: Autohome.
