The very first spy shots of the JAC SII SUV testing in China. The SII debuted as ‘Eagle II’ on the Beijing Auto Show in April, it’ll likely stick to that name when it hits the Chinese auto market early next year. Power will come from a 2.0 turbo with 161hp and 235nm. JAC is also working on a new 1.5/1.5 turbo but thoee engines won’t be available at launch.

Production car very similar to concept car. Price is expected to start around 90.000 yuan and that is not much money for an SUV with a 2.0 turbo. The SII/Eagle II however is not very big: 4430/1840/1660, wheelbase is 2640.

The Eagle II will succeed the current JAC Eagle. Price wise there ain’t much difference and JAC recently launched a very cheap Eagle, usually a sign that a car is close to its end.
