This is the very first picture of the China-made Kia K3 without camouflage. The Kia K3 will be made in China by the very active Dongfeng-Yueda-Kia joint venture, replacing the old Kia Forte. The K3 will hit the China auto market in late October, price will start around 115.000 yuan.

The Kia K3 shares most of its components with the new Hyundai Elantra Landong that is made in China by the Beijing-Hyundai joint venture, the Langdong will hit the market on August 23. The Kia K3 will be powered  by a 1.6 or a 1.8. Small question remains on the transmissions. Earlier reports in Chinese media said there would be a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic, new reports however indicate a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. We’ll keep you posted…
