Spy Shots: Chang’an C401 = Chang’an Cinturx
Now do we have a catchy name here! New spy shots show that the Chang’an C401 will be called the Chang’an Cinturx. The C401/Cinturx is based on the old Mazda 3 that was made by the Chang’an-Mazda joint venture, it will hit the China auto market next year.
Cintury would have been better, but it is really an X out there. Power will come from a Mazda 1.6, price will start around 90.000 yuan. Chang’an didn’t change much, new front, new grille, new lights, new badges, and that is about it. Another Chinese car developed on the very cheap, nice for now but very damaging for the Chang’an brand in the long term. Still, this kinda practices are happening all over the Chinese auto industry, the cars don’t sell well, but on it goes anyway.
