Volkswagen Beetle gets a Price in China
The Volkswagen Beetle will hit the China auto market on September 20 but Volkswagen has already announced its price, which starts at 198.800 yuan and ends at 299.800 yuan. Very expensive indeed, the Beetle is imported and sure Volkswagen earns some extra bucks as well.
Price puts the Beetle neatly under the Mini which starts at 225.000 and ends at 359.000 yuan. The Volkswagen New Beetle, the old Beetle, launched in China in 2008 and was a sales success, competing fiercely with Mini for the money of sugerbaba-babes. The new Beetle will be powered by a 1.2 TFSI or a 1.4 TFSI.
