Spy Shots: Chery M16 still testing in China

New spy shots of the Chery M16 which might be called Chery A4 when it finally hits the market next year. Development has taken Chery over two years, during which the M16 was restyled twice, inside and out. Debut is expected for the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2013.

We have heard a lot of possible engines for the M16 over the last few years. The list of possibilities is impressive, we heard: 1.6, 1.8, 1.3 supercharged and a 1.4 turbo. Chinese media now go for a 126hp 1.6 DVVT at launch and ‘possibly’ a 1.4 turbo in the further future.Well, today is another day and Chinese media go for the 1.8. We, will see. Transmission: 5-speed manual, 5-speed automatic or CVT. Price will start around 110.000 yuan.
