Volkswagen Sagitar will get a 2.0 TSI in China
The Volkswagen Sagitar will get a 2.0 TSI engine in China, it will be launched as the ‘Sagitar GLI’ (not: GTI) on the Chinese auto market in the first quarter of next year. Volkswagen wants to move the Sagitar upmarket and the bigger engine is an important part of that strategy. The vehicle on the spy shots loox slightly more classy and luxurious than the standard Sagitar.
The Sagitar is basically the same car as the US-spec Volkswagen Jetta, it is made in China by the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture. Price starts at 101.800 yuan and ends at 185.800 yuan. Engines: 1.6, 1.4 TSI, and 1.8 TSI. The upcoming 2.0 TSI will have an output of a neat ‘n fast 200hp!
