A fine FAW-Besturn B50 sedan with Toyota badges, seen in the great country of Russia by reader Roman from faw-cars.ru, thank you for the pictures! Besturn started business in Russia last year and currently only sells the B50, the FAW V2 and V5 will become available in March.

Since Besturn is still a relatively unknown brand some owners prefer to rebadge it a bit. The FAW-Besturn B50 is indeed a weird car, based on an old Mazda platform and powered by an even older Volkswagen engine. Toyota however, has nothing to do with it…

Roman said Russian owners are in general very happy with the Besturn, even more so because the B50 starts without any problems in the cold winter when temperature can go down all the way to  minus 50 degrees Celsius.  Great news, good car; but FAW clearly got some marketing work waiting.
