This is the new Dongfeng Fengxing CM7 MPV. It will debut on the Shanghai Auto Show next week in it will be launched on the Chinese car market soon thereafter. Price of the Fengxing CM7 will start around 150.000 yuan.
Later on there will also be a van-variant for transport companies. The Fengxing CM7 will be powered by the still-going-strong Mitsubishi ‘4G69’ 2.4 liter four-cylinder, in current configuration good for about 150hp. Only transmission available will be a 5-speed manual. The van-variant will also be available with a 2.0 liter turbo diesel, mated to the same gearbox. Big car, size: 5150/1920/1925, wheelbase is 3200.
This kind if relatively cheap MPV’s are very popular among rental companies, taxi companies, and local governments. The market is completely controlled by Chinese car makers, even GM and Volkswagen haven’t ventured into this segment yet.
Not that bad for a Dongfeng, but fit & finish just isn’t very good yet. Fake wood for a bit of class, alu center console contrasts nicely with mentioned fake wood. Black plastics look very cheap, beige plastics slightly less cheap. Steering wheel apparently has some multi-functionality.
For traveling in peace.

Not too bad for a MPV design-wise, but the interior is kinda bland.
The front looks too much like the Toyota Alphard, another copy… *sigh*
Will it be Fengxing (from Dongfeng Liouzhou) or Fengshan?
Fengxing.
Interior looks like it’s made of cardboard.
rear design like a Hyundai H-1 haha
