Chinese media say Mercedes-Benz will develop a long-wheelbase variant on the new Mercedes-Benz CLA. The wheelbase of the base CLA is 2699. The CLA had its China-debut on the Shanghai Auto Show last month where it was received very well. A long-wheelbase variant will certainly help sales. Whether Mercedes-Benz will make the CLA in China at the Beijing-Benz joint venture is yet unconfirmed but local production seems very likely.
