New spy shots of the stretched Skoda Yeti testing in China, pretending here to be a Suzuki (an SX4 we presume). The Chinese Yeti will be stretched by 6 centimeter for more space in the back, it will be made in China by the Shanghai-Volkswagen joint venture.

The China-made Yeti will hit the Chinese car market in the second half of this year. Power will come from a 1.4 TSI or a 1.8 TSI. Wheelbase is 2638mm, compared with 2578 for the European Yeti. Price for the locally made Yeti will start around 180.000 yuan. The Skoda Yeti is currently imported, priced from 293.000 yuan to 332.800 yuan. The imported Yeti is only available with the 1.8 TSI.
