Spy Shots: Baojun 630 hatchback testing in China

Spy shots showing the new Baojun 630 hatchback testing in China, it will debut on the Guangzhou Auto Show in November and it will be launched on the China car market in the early 2014. The Baojun 630 hatchback is based on the Baojun 630 sedan and they are both based on the platform of the Buick Excelle.

Baojun is a sub-brand of the SAIC-GM-Wuling joint venture focused on making cheap passenger cars. So far all their cars are very much petrol-powered but there might be something electric in the future.

The Baojun 630 hatchback will get the same engines as the sedan: a 112hp 1.5 and a 143hp 1.8. Three transmissions: 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, or 6-speed automatic. Price of the hatchback will start around 55.000 yuan.

Dash is the same as in the sedan.
