New China-made Honda Accord is Out

The first official photos of the new China-made Honda Accord sedan, it will debut on the Chengdu Auto Show in early September and it will hit the Chinese car market on September 12. The Chinese Accord is based on the North American Honda Accord but the grille and bumpers differ.

The Honda Accord is made in China by the Guangzhou-Honda joint venture. At launch there will be two engines available: a 2.4 with 185hp and 243nm, and a new 3.0 V6 with 255hp and 297nm. Sometime in the first half of 2014 a 2.0 will join the party, with an output of 152hp and 190nm. The 2.0 and 2.4 will be mated to a CVT, the 3.0 will be mated to a 6-speed automatic.
