New spy shots showing the mighty Hongqi L5 limousine, seen this time in the great city of Changchun in Jilin Province, home of the Hongqi factory. The Hongqi L5 is China’s answer to Bentley and Rolls-Royce, the production version will debut on the April 2014 Beijing Auto Show.

The Hongqi L5 will be powered by a six-liter V12 with 408hp and 550nm, mated to a six-speed automatic. The L5 is a giant car, sized: 5555/2018/1578, wheelbase is 3435. The L5 is without any doubt an impressive vehicle. We however wonder how it looks in other colors, so far, in the best Hongqi tradition, only black examples have been seen.
