Spy Shots: facelift for the BYD F3 in China
New spy shots showing the facelifted BYD F3, it will be launched on the China car market late this year. The facelift includes new bumpers, new headlights, new rear lights, and a new grille.
The current BYD F3. Price starts at 52.900 yuan and ends at 73.900 yuan. Lone engine is a 1.5 with 109hp.
The facelifted BYD F3 will keep the 1.5 and will get two completely new engines under the bonnet: a very tech 1.2 turbo with 110hp and a 1.5 turbo with 150hp. The 1.2 turbo seems the perfect replacement for the 1.5 but it isn’t, BYD keeps the old engine because it is cheaper. The 1.2 turbo will sit in the middle of the range, between the 1.5 and 1.5 turbo. All three engines are mated to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. The new engines mean price for the facelifted F3 will range from about 55.000 yuan to 75.000 yuan.
