New spy shots of the Fiat Viaggio hatchback testing in China. It will debut on the Guangzhou Auto Show in late November and it will be launched on the China car market just before the end of the year. The Viaggio hatchback is based on the Fiat Viaggio sedan which is basically the same car as the Italian-American Dodge Dart.
The Fiat Viaggio sedan, made in China by the Guangzhou-Fiat joint venture. Price starts at 108.800 yuan and ends at 158.800 yuan. Lone engine is the a 1.4 turbo T-Jet with either 120hp or 150hp, mated to a 5-speed manual or a DCT. The Viaggio hatchback will use the same power plant, and price will start around 100.000 yuan. Fiat is also working on a Viaggio cross-kinda-wagon which will debut sometime late next year. The wagon will spawn a Dodge variant, the hatchback will not.
Sleek lines around the C-pillar. Yellow dot on alloys on test car actually not uncool.
Dash as in sedan.
I was going to send you this link
with some more recent pictures, but it looks like you have nicer pictures!
anyway i saw a white one in shanghai, it looks better than the pictures! i just wonder why they changed the front, how come they don’t know that chinese people like chrome? i bet they never read your comments about it! 😉
I forgot to add this:
since I don’t think it’s a bad car, I always wondered why they sell so few cars (never seen an ad on tv though or around) i came across this http://www.carsitaly.net/
where it looks like they manage to sell 9k Viaggios in sept, while the average was 3k a month. How did they do that?
