Volvo S60L Hybrid will debut on the 2014 Beijing Auto Show
The Volvo S60L Hybrid will debut on the 2014 Beijing Auto Show and launch on the China car market later this year. The Volvo S60L is a China-only China-made stretched variant of the Volvo S60.
The S60L competes with other China-made China-only stretched sedans such as the Audi A4L, the BMW 3Li, and the upcoming Mercedes-Benz C-Class L, none of which offers a hybrid, giving Volvo an unique selling point in a hard battled market.
The S60L Hybrid will be powered by a 200hp 2.0 turbo petrol engine mated to a 67hp electric motor. The combination petrol-electric is unique for China, as Volvo only offers a diesel-electric hybrid in the rest of the world. Price of the Volvo S60L Hybrid will start around 320.000 yuan.
