The Haval H2 SUV has been launched on the China car market, giving the Haval range a strong entry in the booming compact SUV segment. Interestingly, Haval has only launched one super-luxurious variant with the cheapos scheduled to launch later. Price starts and ends at 105.800 yuan. Dual tone paint comes standard. The Haval H2 debuted last week on the 2014 Beijing Auto Show.
Very clean interior with high-quality materials and a large screen in the center console. Power comes from a 1.5 liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 150hp and 210nm, mated to a a 5-speed manual or a CVT. The cheaper versions will be powered by a naturally aspirated 1.5 liter four-cylinder with 105hp and 138nm. Size: 4330/1815/1700, wheelbase is 2650.
The Haval H2 will compete with fine cars such as the Chery Tiggo, the Haima S7, and the Geely GLEagle GX7. The Haval H2 is in many ways a much more important car for Great Wall than the troubled Haval H8 which always will be a relative slow-seller. The H2 has to go big.
One of the best looking cars in the segment.
@ One of the best looking cars in the segment.
Agreed
The horizontal bar grille is a big improvement over the egg crate grille seen previously.

Now if only they could redesign that ugly Haval logo…
