The new Changan CS15 has been unveiled on the Guangzhou Auto Show in China. Changan brought two cars to the show; this ultra hip two tone example and an all-orange one. The CS15 will launch on the Chinese car market in the first quarter of 2016. It will be positioned below the Changan CS35 SUV.

Design is hip and 2015, with wide wheel arches and crossover-ish black plastic. Wheels are fare to tiny, but they come with red brakes. Roof rack is huge and entirely useful. Top of the mirror in the same color as the roof.

The CS15 will be powered by a new 1.5 liter four with about 120hp, mated to a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic. Price will range from 60.000 to 70.000 yuan.

Interior is a bit messy design wise but this is the kind of mess young Chinese like. They call it ‘modern’. Seats with red, dash in gray, some alu bits, and some other sort of shiny. Doors are gray.

Fit and finish seems good, especially for such a small and cheap Chinese car. Screen looks the tech but it is non-touch, controlled instead by the controller below.

Rear bench just big enough for two and a quarter.

Taillights are fashionably small. Chrome strips around the fog lights. Skid pad annex diffuser under the bumper. Exhaust pipe is invisible.

Probably the best looking Changan so far. But that grille…

… well, it is certainly special.
