The C-SUV stands on a enlarged variant of the Small-Wide 4×4 platform that also underpins the Jeep Renegade and the Fiat 500X and Fiat 500L. In China, the C-SUV will be available with a Chrysler 2.4 four-cylinder petrol and with a Fiat 2.0 turbo four-cylinder petrol. In other countries various diesel engines will be available as well.

The Jeep brand is very successful in China, helped by local production of the Cherokee and the Renegade. The C-SUV will fit exactly in the middle and will likely push sales further up.

Trendy crossover looks with a small third-side window. Wheels seem a tad too small. Proper rails on the roof and a spoiler on top of the rear window.
