Skoda will bring the new Vision E concept car to next month’s Shanghai Auto Show. Design of the Vision E previews the upcoming Skoda Kodiaq Coupe, one of four new Skoda SUVs for the Chinese market. It looks very sharp with a nose-wide light unit and a aluminum strip over the doors.

The Vision E stands on Volkswagen’s new MEB platform for electric cars. It is powered by two electric motor with a combined output of 306hp. Skoda says top speed is 180 kilometers and range 500 kilometers. Size wise the Vision E is very close to the Kodiaq:

Vision E: 4645/1917/1550, wheelbase 2850.
Kodiaq: 4697/1882/1676, wheelbase is 2791.

The production version of the Kodiaq Coupe will be made in China at Shanghai-Volkswagen. That car however will be underpinned by a traditional platform, and powered by petrol engines. Whether there will also be a full-electric variant is yet unsure.

VA trong shoulder line, a sloping roof, and the usual concept-suicide doors.
